“Around the World”

ENTRY RULES

1. Entry is open only to Kentucky residents or members of the Kentucky Heritage Quilt Society.

2. Quilts may be any size.

3. There is no limit on the number of quilts a person may enter; however, depending upon the total number of quilts entered, participants may be limited to a specific number.

4. To enter a quilt, send an entry form and business-sized self addressed envelope to Karen Templeton, 698 Briarfield Rd., Scottsville, KY 42164.

5. Quilts may be hand or machine pieced or appliquéd.

6. Quilts may be hand or machine quilted.

7. A four-inch sleeve must be attached to the back of each quilt. (This rule is for ALL quilts- whether minature, wallhanging, or full size)

8. Kentucky Heritage Quilt Society reserves the right of the Annual Show Committee to refuse to exhibit a quilt that does not meet requirements. This is a juried show.

9. Entry Deadline: All entry forms (and SASEs) must be postmarked by April 1, 2008. Persons whose quilts are accepted for the Show will be notified of acceptance and will be given shipping/delivery instructions at the time of notification. All quilts accepted for the Show must be received by May 15, 2008.

10. Viewers attending the Show will be able to vote for their favorite quilts and a Viewers’ Choice ribbon will be presented.

11. The theme of the Show is “Around the World”. For a quilt to be considered for this Show it must be of an international style (Hawaiian, Japanese, African), made from a worldly pattern (Irish Chain, Dresden Plate, LeMoyne Star, Greek Cross, Mariner’s Compass, or closer to home- Carolina Lily, Baltimore Album, Kentucky Star) or have a worldwide theme.

12. Kentucky Heritage Quilt Society reserves the right to photograph any quilted item.
