KHQS QUILTING ADVENTURES SCHOLARSHIP

The Kentucky Heritage Quilt Society sponsors an annual workshop, Quilting Adventures, for its members. The workshop provides a learning opportunity for advanced beginners who wish to expand their skill levels in design and new techniques.

To assist in the cost of attending this workshop, a scholarship of $300 is offered to one individual each year. The money goes directly to pay the cost of the seminar. The recipient of the scholarship is responsible for all other expenses incurred while attending the seminar. An individual may win the scholarship only one time.

To receive the scholarship, an individual must agree to the following:

1 Complete the attached application and return by the deadline.

2 Pay for all other costs of the workshop beyond $300, including transportation, housing, meals, supplies, and cost of the workshop beyond $300.

3 Within 30 days of the seminar, write and submit a report to the Vice President and KHQS Newsletter Editor of the experience. This report will be publicized in the January/February edition of the KHQS Newsletter.

4 Present a short program with visual examples of my work concerning the seminar at the following KHQS Getaway.

5 Sign a contract agreeing to the above requirements.

If an individual receiving this scholarship does not complete any of the above requirements, repayment of the $300 will be mandatory.

In the event the Scholarship Committee does not feel any applicants qualify for the scholarship, the Chairman of the committee can recommend to the board that no scholarship be awarded in that year.
